Last reviewed: October 15, 2026 · Checked against the official source linked on this page.
Honduran nationality by naturalisation is granted by the President of the Republic, with applications handled by the Secretariat responsible for the interior (Gobernaci贸n). Under the Migration and Foreigners Law, applicants must have lived legally in Honduras for the period the Constitution sets for their nationality, have civil capacity and lawful means of support, show good conduct, and pass an exam on the general history, geography and Constitution of Honduras. They must also renounce allegiance to other states and promise loyalty to Honduras. No official exam format or question bank has been published.
