How All Citizenship Test collects, uses and protects information when you use our website.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by All Citizenship Test (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@allcitizenshiptest.com.

2. Summary

  • You can use all practice tests without an account.
  • Your test scores and progress are stored only in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
  • If you contact us, we use your details only to reply and handle your request.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free. Both may use cookies, which you can control in our cookie settings.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

3. Information we collect

Information stored on your device

To save your progress, the website stores your test results, the questions you have answered and your weak questions in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device. We cannot see it, and it is deleted if you reset your progress on the My Progress page or clear your browser’s site data.

Information you give us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic, the country you mention and the content of your message. We store your message in our website’s database and send a copy to our team by email.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit in server logs, which are used to keep the site secure and working. To protect the contact form from spam, we temporarily use a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to limit repeated submissions. If we use analytics tools, they may collect similar usage information, as described below.

4. How we use information

  • To provide the practice tests and save your progress on your device.
  • To reply to your messages and handle your requests.
  • To correct errors in our questions that you report to us.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: consent when you send us a message through the contact form; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the website; and legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information by law.

6. Cookies, local storage and analytics

The practice tests themselves do not set cookies. They use your browser’s local storage only to save your progress, which is necessary for the feature you have asked for. If you log in to the website as an administrator, WordPress sets its own login cookies.

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks which optional cookies you accept. Your choice is saved in a cookie so we do not ask again, and you can change it at any time with the cookie settings button on every page. A full list of the cookies used on this website is in our Cookie Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are visited and how long people stay. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and collects information about your device and how you use the site. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the website. Where consent is required, Google Analytics runs only in a limited, cookieless mode until you accept analytics cookies. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. Advertising

This website is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to show ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings (My Ad Center). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Other third-party ad vendors or ad networks that Google certifies may also serve ads on this website and use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies. You can see Google’s list of certified vendors and learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are used to personalise ads. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. Advertisers and ad networks have no access to your test progress, which never leaves your browser.

Ads are clearly separated from our content and labelled as advertisements. We do not endorse the products or services advertised, and advertisers have no influence over our questions, guides or editorial decisions.

8. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

  • service providers that help us run the website, such as our hosting and email providers, who may only use it on our instructions;
  • Google, for analytics and advertising as described above, under Google’s own Privacy Policy;
  • authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the UK or EU, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. How long we keep information

We keep contact messages for up to 24 months after our last communication with you, unless we need them longer for legal reasons. Progress data in your browser stays until you delete it. Server logs are usually kept for a short period by our hosting provider.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information; object to or restrict how we use it; withdraw your consent at any time; receive a copy of your information in a portable format; and complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents may also request information about the categories of personal information we collect and ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by Google may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out by rejecting advertising cookies in our cookie settings, by using Global Privacy Control in your browser, or through Google’s Ads Settings.

To exercise your rights, email privacy@allcitizenshiptest.com or use our contact form. We will reply within the time required by law.

12. Children

This website is intended for adults preparing for citizenship and residence tests. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No website is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information, such as passport or immigration case numbers, through our contact form.

Our pages link to official government websites and other resources. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date on this page, and for significant changes we will add a notice on the website.
